St. David's Episcopal Church

Located on 33 acres in suburban Pennsyl- vania, St. David's Church lies within the political boundaries of three townships and two counties. The site, comprised of an 18th century church and cemetery, a modern sanctuary and education facility, has mature stands of trees, steep slopes, a rolling mea- dow and is bisected by a stream.

The Landscape Master Plan addressed alternative expansion and preservation scen- arios for the growing congregation. The Church's decision to build an addition to the sanctuary presented the opportunity to de- sign a series of terraced parking lots, walk- ways, retaining walls, and innovative grading and stormwater solutions.
