Delaware River and Bay Authority Headquarters

The DRBA administration complex is sited on 22-acres located between the north-and south-bound lanes of I-295 in New Castle, Delaware. LRSLA's design challenge was to achieve functional and aesthetic success at two divergent scales: for the passing automobile traveler and the on-site pedestrian. A walkway system with new pedestrian lighting and a comprehensive planting plan was designed to unite the disparate areas of the site. Other components of the $2.3 million site improvements included building entry plazas, an amphitheater, and a dining terrace.
